| Abstract: | El relato de Miguel Pérez reconstruye en detalle las grandes inundaciones de 1975 y las transformaciones del Pilcomayo en la zona de San José de Esteros. Narra la organización comunitaria, la ayuda del padre Wilkskamp y la abundancia que trajo el bañado, cuando los nivaĉle trabajaban en sus chacras y compartían los alimentos. Su narración rescata la solidaridad de los antiguos nivaĉle. Registra también el deterioro ambiental y social: la falta de lluvias, los tajamares colmatados, el agotamiento de las aguas y la precariedad de la atención médica. La escasez afecta la salud y la alimentación, y revela la desatención institucional en la región. | |
