As told in Pulaar by Samba Coulibaly, this short story deals with a current phenomenon in Pulaar culture: Daftondiral, or the competition, in order to marry a well known and very nice girl named Fatimata Boobo Lobbo. In this story, there are three claimants seeking to be the husband. In the end, Samba-the-Nasty and Fatimata are married.
